Application for managing saunas and other rooms in common areas in multi-family buildings
Residential properties are increasingly offering various amenities in common areas. Developers are trying in various ways to distinguish their projects in an increasingly competitive market, which is why residents' clubs, children's playrooms, but also fitness rooms and saunas are becoming available to residents. While a few years ago such relaxation areas were associated exclusively with premium facilities, today they are the domain of many so-called mid-range facilities. That is why it is very important to use the right technology to operate such areas.
Situation
We have prepared the integration of our application with the sauna control system in a multi-family building. We wanted all residents to be able to easily book the sauna for a specific time. At the same time, they should be 100% sure that the sauna will be waiting for them, prepared to the right temperature, that no one else will be able to enter it, and that their personal belongings will be safe.
Challenge
- Ensure that security personnel are not involved in monitoring access or opening the sauna.
- Ensure exclusive access when using the sauna.
- Avoid energy loss (leaving the heater on when the sauna is empty, frequent heating and cooling of the heater).
- Set equal limits on the use of the area for everyone
Solution
- Mobile app for booking a sauna with access control – only the person who made the reservation can open the sauna with their smartphone
- Simply make a reservation in the app, then go to the sauna at the agreed time: the sauna will already be heated to the right temperature, and you can open the door with your smartphone. No one else will have access at that time.
- When user leaves the sauna or do not show up at the reserved time, the sauna heater will immediately turn off
- Reports and history for the administrator - preview of usage, possibility to set limits or different rates, check who booked the sauna at the time when the damage occurred
- Integration with locker control - while using the sauna or fitness area, personal belongings are left in a lockable locker
- Give the landlord the ability to verify who is responsible for any damage etc.
