Modern access system for developer with offer for young customers

One of Poland's largest developers, delivering projects of the highest standards and keeping a close eye on the requirements of a new, younger group of tenants, wanted to provide its customers with a modern tool for navigating the building.

Situation

Situation

A developer previously using only basic intercoms, simple push-button call lift systems and floor selection with a traditional panel has decided to enable its customers to move to app-based access.

The app should be comprehensive (allowing navigation of all building entrances, including garage entrances) and provide an additional level of automation.

The client did not want to provide or require residents to provide email addresses in the process of registering for an account on the app.

Challenge

Challenge

The app had to be secure and convenient - handier than the traditional tools used so far, such as key fobs, access codes or remote controls.

Residents' varying preferences and expectations of how access points could be opened via the app dictated the need to diversify opening methods and allow each user to choose the most convenient one.

As a day-to-day tool for the property manager, the app needed to offer a way of creating accounts and allocating access that was much more convenient than replacing lost or damaged cards and physically handing them to residents or visitors.

Solution

Solution

Access on the client's estates has gone far beyond opening the entrance doors to the stairwells. The holistic approach to common spaces has also made it possible to remotely open barriers, garage doors, utility rooms and to perform paging and dispositions in lifts.

The locks in the frequently traversed communal spaces have been interconnected so that the opening of one activates further devices along the route. As a result, the resident, upon opening the building entrance, does not even need to enter the app - Blue Bolt itself summons the lift to the ground floor and sends it to the target floor. However, this doesn't have to be the only option - in each lock's settings, the resident can choose the opening method that best meets their needs - by notification, automatically or proximity.

The use of one-time access codes has made it possible to bypass the traditional account creation process and gain access as soon as the code is obtained from the administrator. This is not at the expense of access control - the administrator has full control over access in the application. One-time codes can be deleted at any time, and the history panel and its extensive filters allow activity to be monitored.

The practicality and reliability of mobile access in Blue Bolt has been reflected in the high level of adoption of the app as the main access tool, not only among the youngest but across a cross-section of the population.
