Autonomous access control in a coworking space
The owner of a new office space wanted to provide a system that would enhance the attractiveness of the space by simplifying the process of gaining access and booking office resources, while also fitting in with the image of a modern, forward-thinking brand.
Situation
A new brand on the shared office market in Poland was looking for a solution that would provide completely autonomous access to its spaces.
A strong focus on the client's ESG goals placed an additional requirement - facilitating access for people with disabilities.
The client also wanted the app to provide the ability to book rooms and desks located in the space, at the tenants' disposal.
Challenge
Seamless 24/7 access to the space, even outside the operating hours of the rest of the building.
The ability to purchase an day or week pass and gain immediate access to the facility for any individual without the need to contact the reception.
Unmanned and effortless invitation of visitors by tenants.
Allowing users to invite guests via time-limited QR codes or a mobile app (at the guest's choice).
Solution
Creating a two-component access control system giving access to the building via a mobile app and QR code (without the need to print).
Designing QR scanners at a height suitable for people with mobility impairments.
Providing a meeting room booking system integrated with screens displaying room occupancy.
Allowing users to invite guests through time-limited QR codes or a mobile application straight from their phone or web browser, based on the guest's preference.
