One of Poland's leading developers, guided by the growing expectations of residents and modern trends in the real estate industry, sought to raise safety standards and ensure free and comfortable movement around the building.
Situation
- The developer was looking for a modern solution that would provide residents with maximum comfort, allowing free access to all key areas of the facility, including the residential and parking areas.
- Most tenants already had experience using applications connected to intercoms, but these had overly complicated interfaces or very limited functionality. Therefore, the need to find a suitable and simple solution remained. It was also important to be able to use and optimize the existing access system.
- Another important aspect for the investor was the opportunity to stand out from the competition and offer residents a useful, easy-to-use, and aesthetically pleasing application that would be accessible and understandable to everyone.
Challenge
- The solution was expected to be as functional as possible, provide residents with quick access to the necessary passageways, improve communication with the building administration, and allow new users to be easily invited in if necessary.
- The solution had to be easy to use, as the residents included people of all ages. For most of them, the most important thing was to be able to enter the building efficiently, without worrying about keys or remote controls, and to be able to easily and quickly grant access to family members when necessary.
- The implementation of the innovative access system was aimed at increasing the attractiveness of the investment, strengthening the brand and increasing its recognition on the real estate market, but it also responded to the needs of residents in accordance with ESG principles.
Solution
- The mobile application provided for smartphones allows residents to move freely around the common areas of the building thanks to the function of opening entrance doors, gates, barriers, and garage doors. After opening the entrance door, the user can automatically call the elevator and select the destination floor previously chosen in the application. When returning from shopping or in a hurry, there is no longer any need to look for keys or wait for the elevator. Opening passages is much faster and more convenient, which is why most users choose and want to have this method in their housing estate instead of traditional tools.
- The system integrates with CarPlay® and AndroidAuto™, allowing you to open barriers and garage doors from your car's screen. This is an additional convenience for drivers – no need to look for a remote control or even reach for your phone.
- In addition, with the consent of the administrator, residents can grant guests access to selected passages in the building without the need to physically hand over access cards or remote controls. This is a convenient solution in case of a visit from family, a courier, or a service provider – access can be granted remotely without leaving the apartment, and then the package can be easily picked up.
- The building administrator, in turn, can easily grant or revoke access to specific passages for selected users, as well as send notifications in the application about upcoming events in the community, which significantly engages users.
- The new system has significantly increased residents' interest, as evidenced by the fact that almost 80% regularly use the app. Due to its universal nature, every group of residents has found something for themselves, regardless of age or habits. Interest in the solution has gone beyond the boundaries of a single investment – the housing community of a neighboring building has approached its building administration with a question about the possibility of implementing the system.
